The Brown Goods Engineer job that is both varied and challenging and sits within a friendly supportive team. Generally, the role includes service and maintenance and repair to brown goods at customer premises at allocated postcodes across Midlands, primarily Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Walsall & Worcester. Specifically, this includes warranty checks, fault-finding, troubleshooting, repair and modification to brown goods of all shapes and sizes, mainly LCD TV's but could be anything with a plug! E.g TV, HI-Fi, Microwave, Sowing Machine etc.
This is good clean multi-brand work for blue-chip manufacturers & warranty providers. Ongoing training is provided, and you will be cross-trained to an expert level in additional manufacturers and product types! All the tools of the trade including a vehicle provided. The role also requires scheduling, customer care, health and safety H&S compliance, and some paperwork.
You will have
To be successful as Brown Goods Engineer you will have appliance service/repair experience in brown goods. More specifically, you will need current experience in general repairs and replacement of LCD screens. Some basic diagnostic skills would be beneficial. It would also be beneficial if you have experience repairing Samsung products. Manufacturer training/certification an advantage.
Plus strong customer service skills, good track record in maintenance/installation servicing or repairs. Health and safety awareness. Basic computer literacy. Full driving license. Reasonable flexibility in respect to travel/hours.

As Brown Goods Engineer you will enjoy a competitive salary, likely £23K-£27K + OT + company vehicle (an air-conditioned low mileage unmarked van).
