The EIA (Environmental Impact Assesment) Consultant job, which is a fantastic opportunity where you will provide input into and author reports at all stages of the EIA process, from EIA screening through to the preparation of Environmental Statements, as well as post submission material. There will also be opportunities to provide environmental leadership alongside my client’s master planners and planners.
Due to continual demand for their services from a range of key clients, they are looking for someone with a special blend of skills to join their established team of motivated staff. In this exciting role you will be well supported in the development of both your technical and professional skills.
You will have
To be successful as EIA (Environmental Impact Assesment) Consultant, we are looking for someone with an excellent understanding of EIA requirements, with experience as an EIA Co-ordinator and a good awareness of the planning process. You will also be a team player with excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to develop strong relationships with colleagues, co-consultants and clients. It is advantageous to have project management skills too. You’ll have a passion for context-led design and will be expected to apply your understanding of a range of social and environmental drivers to achieving well planned and designed developments at all scales. Ideally, you will have upwards of 2 years’ experience of working in a consultancy, but more junior candidates are welcomed if you can demonstrate you have relevant professional experience and skills. More specifically:
- Have experience of coordinating and managing EIA projects
- Have experience of working with clients and as part of multidisciplinary teams
- Have experience of managing sub-consultants
- Be able to use GIS, graphics software and/or AutoCAD (experience of using this software is desirable)
