Working freelance/contract for this global temporary facility builder, and integrated FM and Logistics provider. This company has recently won a contract to build a number of temporary buildings, including Offices, Canteens, Welfare facilities, Medical room, Warehouses and a Training facility, in support of a major construction and engineering project in the Waterside area of Southampton. Opportunities exist with the company on the project which is likely to start around early September until November 2019. There is a strong possibility that the role could be extended to March 2020.

The Electrical Foreman LV AP job itself where you will plan, supervise and perform all phases of installation of electrical systems and conducts regular inspection and maintenance of equipment and tools. Control the safe systems of electrical work and maintain and operate the permit to work system in controlled areas. Sanction tests in line with the Electricity at Works Act 1989 and provide approved testing procedures. Attend client briefings for HRTA permits and detail drawings. Provide isolation procedures and to sign off certification. Provide technical supervision of Electrical, IT, Fire Alarm, CCTV works. Supervise electrical field work and small projects if needed. Undertake feasibility assessments and site inspections and make recommendations or presenting alternative solutions to problems. Inspects installations for quality, ensuring codes are met. As the Electrical Foreman/Woman Authorised Person Low Voltage use your experience to ensure workers follow and adhere to company, client and OSHA safety rules and regulations. Maintains a proper record of completed tasks and the methods used to achieve goals and objectives and prepare daily work permits, time tickets, documenting and approving work performed, materials used, costs, etc. Review safety task assessment cards from personnel and provide pre safety task assignment. Provide safe work observations (SWO) and ensure that employees are fully trained in the required PPE for assigned tasks. Ensure compliance with Personal Fall Arrest System (PFAS) and generate and ensure compliance for Confined space entry, Excavations, Motorized heavy equipment, Energy Isolation, Hot works, On, near or over water. Follow hazard elimination program (HELP).
You will have
To be successful as Electrical Foreman LV AP you will be an accomplished Electrical Foreman/Woman and also be Authorised Person Low Voltage certificated and hold relevant certification to undertake electrical work. 18th Edition and Inspection related certification. Proficient with hand and power tools as well as heavy equipment. Utilise your experience to schedule crews and managing daily customer deliverables and able to set and balance priorities in order to complete projects on time. Able to demonstrative safety leadership and excellent team-building and motivational skills. Hold a CSCS/ECS Gold Card with relevant City and Guilds certification including 2391, ideally with hazardous area and commercial experience. Ideally hold JSP 375 Electrical Authorised person certification and or Compex Electrical certification. Able to read installation manuals & highly specialized drawings and interpret all information to the construction team. Experienced in electrical testing (insulation resistance test LV/HV, measurement of the earth system, circuit breakers test, measurement earthing resistance, measurement of impedance loop resistance and be aware of the full range of applicable codes and standards of electrical installation and maintenance. Ideally you will have a valid CCNSG passport or relevant document and be able to follow safety rules as assigned by the Company. Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel.

As Electrical Foreman LV AP you will receive £35K-£40K pro rata neg on a temporary worker basis. Overtime is a possibility. Minimum Holidays are expected to be taken from late July to November.
