The job as Planning Engineer, which is equivalent to Senior Site Engineer, as part of the site management team delivering on £Multi-M kudos projects in building, civil and structural projects in Milton Keynes & South East region. The Planning function is key to the success of a project - planning and sequencing the permanent works, logistics and temporary works phasing, engaging our project teams in BIM and assisting with development of the cost plan.

As such Planning Engineers are an integral part of the operations teams, are key to the successful delivery of our projects and are pivotal in supporting our Project Managers.  Specifically, working alongside our Heads of Delivery, Project Managers, Construction Managers, Engineers and Supervisors, you will proactively engage with the entire team, gaining vital experience of all roles involved in the construction process. In addition, you will work closely with Design and Operational teams, as well as the commercial function who will help to ensure cost controls are in place and monitored. When interacting with clients, you will be an ambassador for the firm.

You will have

3-5+ years on site experience progressing through ranks as site engineer or project engineer, working on civil or structural projects.  You will have a good handle on construction methodologies and have produced short term programmes.

Planning experience not mandatory but with training you must be capable of self sufficiency in the following:

  • Planning works for tenders,
  • Progress markups,
  • Resource loading
  • Monitoring production rates and outputs.
  • Project reporting using KPIs

You will get

£40K-£50K negotiable on experience. Competitive benefits package applies.
