The Production Supervisor job itself where there is plenty of scope for immediate and continuous improvement within the business which is growing through acquisition and organic growth. You will be responsible for leading and supervising a manufacturing team (of 15) and this is an excellent opportunity for an individual with experience, drive and ambition to join a growing company.
More specifically you will be responsible for the following:-
- Lead and supervise a shift based manufacturing team (current shifts are 6am to 2pm / 2pm to 10pm)
- Supervise and lead the manufacturing team to complete scheduled requirements
- Ensure team follows Plant Operating Procedures and adheres to safe systems of work
- Manage the resource required on shift alongside the Manufacturing Manager
- Observe EHS, people behaviours and take appropriate action where needed
- Identify, monitor and action manufacturing issues and collate improvement ideas
- Act as the point of contact for Quality Control, Maintenance and Production Planning
- Investigate batch problems and rejections
- Collate and check Manufacturing Operative documentation
- Monitor and action employee relation issues
- Work towards 100% multi skilling within the team
- Absence management and ensure daily, weekly and monthly check sheets / records are completed
You will have
The requirements for the Production Supervisor role are:
- Experience in a manufacturing supervision / management role
- Good EHS knowledge
- Able to demonstrate effective leadership, establishing clear expectations, supporting employee engagement and motivation
- A proven track record of achieving targets in a similar environment
- A highly effective communicator with gravitas, drive and enthusiasm
