The Quality Engineer role itself where you will be responsible to ensure Quality is represented at all stages of projects, NPI or production and provide technical guidance and support to the design team and customer care/sales to ensure that deliverables and targets are met.  More specifically:

  • Creating and updating engineering drawings
  • Identify areas of continuous improvements to promote and enhance Quality capability
  • Support delivery of technical assessments using appropriate methodologies and contributing to capability development
  • Support customer technical issues and resolution
  • Attend design/technical/task reviews, defect reviews and stakeholder meetings as required.
  • Support the Quality Management System and related standards
  • Provide validation support by applying manufacturing quality tools including, but not limited to:
  • DFMEA, PFMEA, control plans, process verification/validation plans and process data
  • Lead and or participate in complaint investigations, failure analysis of returned products and problems resulting in technical issues requiring you to generate a report/analysis on the findings
  • Internal and external auditing in line with ISO9001/AS9100
  • Liaise with the production teams, supporting and promoting quality improvement activity and writing reports of findings
  • Comply with the requirements defined by the Quality Management System in line with company objectives and KPIs
  • Regularly update the Group Quality Manager on pending actions, completed project or any quality related production issues
  • Providing leadership and decision making in the absence of the Group Quality Manager
  • Leading and coaching a team of Quality Engineers and Technicians

You will have

  • Experience within a Quality Engineering role
  • HND/HNC Level of Education
  • Knowledge of Quality testing methods
  • Experience of working in a quality department or test lab environment
  • Experience in ISO 9001 and Quality Systems in general
  • Conversant with CAD
  • Good IT skills (Experience in using Microsoft, Excel, Outlook and Word)
  • Ability to analyse test results to identify failures
  • Good level of work accuracy
  • Ability to complete tasks against tight deadlines
  • Understanding of product testing methods
  • Understanding of engineering drawings

Salary £33K-£35K + 10% Bonus, 10% Pension, Healthcare & 25 days + BH
